Hotel Universal - Geres

The staff here are really helpful, and the location is fantastic-truly hard to beat. the rooms are not only quiet but also beautifully kept. 😊.

A good location in the centre of the main town

The hotel was described on the website as being in town of Caldas do Geres and therefore we looked for that town on map and whilst driving to it but the town is also known by aniother name - Vilar do Geres and it is that name whch appears on the road signs when entering the town. We therefore drove through the town twice as it was not clear . It would be helfpul if the hotel description or address could state both names so that drivers do not get lost

Especially the staff - very friendly and polite. Always ready to help.

The room we stayed in was kept in great condition, and it featured two single beds. Plus, we enjoyed a nice view of the city! 🌆.

Overall grand old and good standard hotel, I did not want to leave there.

the room was quiet and i loved hotel's incredible staff. the private parking was nearby, excellent service. the pool was incredible and the views were nice. central location was a plus. furthermore, the area was lovely.

the rooms were decent sized, it was clean and spacious venue. the hotel was in the central setting in a centre of geres. stopped by ca'puccino to get some coffee and treats, it's an easy walk to the venue, recommend. the service was all in all marvellous. got wake up calls free of charge, not bad too.

The location of this venue is breathtaking, situated in a beautiful area near the center, coffee shops, and nature with waterfalls nearby.

I came here for 2 nights and had a very peaceful stay. the place was fairly clean, and the staff was friendly. the location was absolutely perfect - an easy walk to everywhere I wanted to go. I enjoyed some takeout specials at Giraffe Stop, which was conveniently just a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel is located in the heart of Geres, making it perfect for exploring the National Park and enjoying evenings in the town center. The service provided by the staff was commendable, ensuring a pleasant and hassle-free stay. Despite being an outdoor hotel, the basic amenities were well-maintained, adding to the convenience. Additionally, the prices were fair, offering good value for money.

The hotel rooms could benefit from some remodeling, as they seemed outdated and lacking basic amenities like a hairdryer. While the breakfast provided was satisfactory, it could have been more diverse and adventurous.

The poolside deck at Hotel Universal was a delightful oasis. With plenty of loungers, it felt like my own personal sunny paradise where time seemed to stand still.
